EDUCATION – INSPIRATION – INNOVATION
The second annual Youth for Human Rights Summit was held at Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre on Friday 6 September, 2019.
This one-day festival brought together 12-25 year olds from all over Victoria to learn from experts in Human Rights, participate in interactive workshops and experience the ‘stories that matter’ through film, literature, virtual reality and games.
The Summit aimed to empower the next generation of human rights leaders through education, skills training and providing access to industry mentors and young leaders in the Arts and Human Rights sectors.
“The summit was really inspirational and showed me so many different points of view for different human rights issues. The summit has inspired me to not just support equality but to actively seek it in my daily life through my own interactions with others.” – 2019 Summit Participan
In addition to the Youth Summit, this year HRAFF are running a series of video conferences on human rights for educators. Get more info here.
